FAKE DISCORD SERVER LINK SCAM

As many projects with closed discord server are trying to giveaway the discord link to some limited amount of people using FCFS with different ways like sending link or sending the phrase which is made for limited members or time which expire afterwards but than the real scammers come into action when it expires , but how?

THE SCAM

1. As after the link expire the scammers use that link phrase as a vanity of fake server they made to trap the user’s.
2. Due to which user’s who where not able to join the real server (due the expired link) they joined the fake server which was made with vanity link feature using discord.

As soon as you reach the fake server you will get a Announcement

Claim your wl only 10 left and a random claiming link

THIS IS FAKE NO SERVER/PROJECT WILL NEVER LET YOU CLAIM A WL BY GOING TO A SITE LIKE THAT.

3.As soon as we click on that link it will ask you to approve it to claim the wl and it will display that only 2 are left out of 10(a way to scam people)as soon as you click on the link all your sol will be gone.

LIVE EXAMPLE’S

So recently wobblebug did a twitter giveaway for limited amount of time as soon as the link expired the scammer made that link his vanity in discord and due to which many members joined in that fake server which looks a like.

This was the tweet which had the server link to join.

As some people who won landed on the real server but some as i said landed on the fake scammer server which looks like this.

This image is of fake server which was replaced his vanity as the giveaway link and some people joined in. This screenshot has been sent by the witness who lost his sol in this process.

As we can see it has a fake link with fake announcement which led to DRAIN YOUR WALLET

Conclusion

Be aware of the scams taking place in the community. Never click any link in dm/or any other place which claims something FREE. Never click on the links claiming wl too.

HOW TO PREVENT THIS

The only way is to delete the tweet asap. And update the community about to beware of the scam server if u landed in one .
